Onkgopotse JJ Tabane (Director & Shareholder)
He is one of South Africa's leading media and communications specialists, as well as a community activist and a business executive.
He is also a member of the North West University Council where he is serving his second term as a representative of the Minister of Education, and an Associate of the prestigious international Institute of Independent Business (IIB). He holds a BA (UNIN), BPROC (UWC) and Masters in Political Economy (NMMU). His extensive career covers senior positions in both the government and private sector.
Until two years ago, he was the Head of Corporate Affairs at global electronic powerhouse Altron, responsible for driving the company's transformation process and its corporate social investment programme.
Prior to that, he was Chief Executive Officer of leading graphic design and communications companies, Graphicor and Simeka TWS, and Vice President and General Manager of Communications at South African Airways. His public sector career included Head of Communications at the Ministry of Environmental Affairs, Communications Advisor to the Chamber of Mines and Head of Communications for the World Summit on Sustainable Development.
He has also served on various boards of directors including the Gauteng Tourism Authority, Johannesburg Tourism Authority and until recently chaired the board of the Indalo Yethu Environmental Campaign.
